The projects developed by SKIL are benchmarked for excellence in infrastructure, which is exemplified by various laurels conferred on them by reputed agencies worldwide. In 2000, Port of Pipavav received the first ever IDFC award for “Excellence in Infrastructure”. Subsequently, Pipavav was nominated by Lloyds, Hong Kong as one of the 3 best Emerging Container Ports of Asia. The Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board also chose Pipavav Port as the best port in Gujarat state.
