Gujarat Positra PortSKIL, through its SPV, Gujarat Positra Port Company Limited (GPPCL), proposes to develop a state-of-the-art port Port West. The proposed location is located at the mouth of the Gulf of Kutch on the Western Coast of India, which is considered as a strategic location. It has been acknowledged by the reputed maritime consultants Frederic R. Harris Inc, Holland as amongst the world's finest natural deep sea port locations.

The key highlights of the Port West are:

An ideal location with extensive connectivity of road & rail.
Project will be developed over 4000 acres of land.
Port site is a fine natural sea port location with natural draft of 18-24 meters and surrounded by 11 islands that provide natural protection to the site
Two approach channels
State-of-the-art back-up & logistic infrastructure
Phase I –8 container terminals - potential to have 8 more terminals
Cargo handling capacity: 1.4 MN TEU/ terminal
Signed MoU with Government of Gujarat for development of hub port

Multi-modal Logistics

SKIL, through Horizon Country Wide Logistics Limited ("HCWLL"), proposes to be significant integrated logistics service provider. HCWLL's development is based on the Hub- Spoke model with integrated network of distriparks across the country. The proposed development plan is as below:

The development of the FTWZ – in Navi Mumbai & and the CFS in Navi Mumbai shall be undertaken by HCWLL's subsidiaries, namely Chiplun FTWZ Pvt Ltd & Fastlane Distriparks & Logistics Ltd respectively. The rest of the projects are planned to be developed under HCWLL.

Sohar Free Zone (in the Sultanate of Oman) (

SKIL owns a 33.33% equity interest in Sohar Free Zone Company, LLC, a joint venture with Sohar International Development Company("SIDC", a 66.67% owner), that plans to develop a special economic zone near the Port of Sohar, 240 km northwest of Muscat.  SIDC is an equal joint venture between the Government of The Sultanateof Oman and Port of Rotterdam. The project is planned to exceed 4,500 hectares.

Project to be developed in phases, first phase involves development of 500 hectares of land;
Located just outside the strait of Homruz with easy accessibility to GCC, Africa and India, providing crossroads between the east and the west;
Project is adjacent to the fully functional deep water Port of Sohar with excellent connectivity and extensive road network;
Expressways connecting to Muscat, Dubai and Abu Dhabi under construction; rail link planned between Muscat and Sohar; and
Project to be developed on Industrial Cluster approach.


Proposed projects include setting up of coal based thermal power plants with a capacity aggregating to 2,400 MW approx. thermal-power-Plant
Land has been identified for 2 x 660 MW power plants in the state of Maharashtra, spread over 1,500 acres of land.
